AeroDiscover has been proud to inspire young people across the East Midlands to explore the exciting world of aviation, aerospace and engineering.

Our initial programme of aviation themed interventions has now concluded as our funding period comes to an end.

We’re now seeking additional support to repurpose and relaunch AeroDiscover for an even wider audience. In the meantime, this website remains live so that teachers, students and partners can continue to access useful information and stay connected with our progress.

We are still able to offer careers sessions and careers fairs visits across the East Midlands.

Our Mission Continues

AeroDiscover was created to open doors into the world of aviation and aerospace for young people — helping them see themselves in the engineers, pilots and innovators of tomorrow.

While our first phase of activities has concluded, our mission remains unchanged. We are working behind the scenes to secure new funding and partnerships to bring AeroDiscover back stronger than ever.

With the exception of careers focussed support, our in-school workshops, and digital programmes are currently paused while we plan the next phase of delivery.

You can still explore our themes and access links to our partners’ educational resources on the AeroDiscover hub. Here you can find resources including lesson plans, activities, and the latest news from the aerospace industry to help keep you excited about the sector.

Programmes on Pause

Our programme of activities has now concluded. Thank you to all the schools, students and ambassadors who took part in AeroDiscover events and workshops. We impacted over 1500 students during Phase 1.

We’re proud of what we’ve achieved together — from I4IS Aerospace Engineering Workshops to hands-on aviation challenges with the BMFA — and we’re working hard to secure funding to bring more opportunities to you in the near future.

Keep in Touch

Phase 1 of AeroDiscover brought hands-on aviation-themed STEM learning to schools and youth groups across Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire.

As we prepare for Phase 2, our live sessions (except careers fairs & sessions) are on pause — but our community isn’t! We’d love to stay connected with past participants and hear from new schools interested in joining us.

Everyone — even outside the East Midlands — can still explore our free downloadable resources and discover the excitement of aviation and aerospace.
